My experience

I happened to be in Texarkana when a major storm rolled in, and with all the thunder, lighting, and pouring rain, I didn't get great pictures, but I tried for y'all. lol

If you drop by this spot while in town, try to show up early enough to get donuts at Yummy's Donut Palace, because they're pretty good and the man who owns it is an absolute sweetheart. I have nothing but good things to say about that place.

Anyway, conveniently located across from what was the Amoco station Elvis used (now Ray's Muffler), the now demolished Park Plaza Motel is a rough-looking empty lot. The only thing that occupies a small corner of the original motel lot is the donut shop. Nothing too interesting from a visual standpoint.

History of the site

I can't find much on the Park Plaza Motel. 99.99% of what I know is from the back of a postcard (in the pictures below).

The information learned from said postcard: the motel is only 2 minutes away from downtown, with 85 rooms/suites with in-room guest-controlled air conditioning. Each room had its own phone, TV, free radio, and room service. The communal features included a swimming pool, playground, and a town-house restaurant on the same lot.
